Condolence: Robert Waddell was an accomplished writer and educator who loved the arts and people. He delighted in sharing his stories with readers of the VirtualBoricua.org website. Robert also had a passion for community-oriented artists and institutions and shined light on many under-appreciated writers, performers, musicians, and visual artists. He was also an avid devotee to Latino culture and the Taino traditions of the Puerto Rican Diaspora. We love you, Robert and you will always be in our hearts. Thank you for your creative contributions to our history and culture.

Condolence From: Robert Beuka
Condolence: Robert was such a lovely man, and speaking not only for myself but for all of my colleagues in the Bronx Community College English Department, we are deeply saddened by his passing. Robert was a favorite of students and had many friends in the department. He and I shared a common passion for the literature and film of the city and suburb, and we had so many wide-ranging conversations on these topics over the past few years. How animated he was in talking about these subjects! He also clued me in to films and books that I hadn't known of and found to be fascinating. Robert was a one of a kind guy. I'll miss him. Condolences to his friends and family.
